Very sad, and very sad for Dorothy, Ray's ever-present love and soul-mate. Manzarek played a key role with his unique style of play, his creation of the Doors' left-handed Bass player, and the VOX Continental, which gave The Doors their oh so familiar sound. Goodbye Ray, see you on the other side.

This just showed up on my feed and I ain't even mad at it. You can really hear the Frank Sinatra influence on Jim's vocal in this version. I can hardly wait to see this documentary about the greatest rock keyboard 🎹 player of all time! Im glad that John and Robbie finally reunited. They were estranged for years. John even sued Ray and Robbie. I guess he didnt get along with Ray anymore? Im not sure. Anyway, Im happy they are doing a tribute to Ray. He deserves it as much as Jim does. I wonder if they are reunited now up in Rock Heaven. And jamming together. That would be great! I sure hope theres an afterlife because if there isnt, its going to be mighty dull. Anyway, thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing this latest news. 😎🎸🎹👏🏻.

Watching this, even though they have a couple mis-steps, it is obvious that a lot of this is based in deep-rooted muscle memory. Their youth was spent synchronizing and that is still there under a very thin veneer of a whole lot of years. Good singer. The intro alone sends shivers and goose bumps down your spine and all over your body, imagine this epic song being performed in total darkness. and the trademark PF surround sound system etc almost raining down on you and you alone. I still can't understand why people don't appreciate what PF have done for the music industry. they have created not just music but influenced so many genre's of different experiences of sound and using their own highly creative instincts pioneered so much more.I can't deny that they are in their twilight years but they still perform and record with an amazing youthful approach in every thing they do and are also in demand on a Global Scale. When the time arrives and they are ALL united in THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY you can't help but think somehow they will find a way to connect to planet earth and still entertain with even more passion and all for the love of MUSIC. As usual thanks for reading my post any comments either good or not so good are always I truly respect and appreciate your views as well and thanks again.

Far out ! what a great find. Interesting enough, I had the great pleasure to meet Ray, Robbie and John.  In 2008 I was working as a limo driver, I picked up Ray at S.F. airport and drove him to his home in Napa, CA.  We talked for 1.5 hrs. about his music/and the Doors music.  He and Robbie were reviving many of the Doors tunes, and occasionally John would join them.  Ray talked about Jim and his apparent death, music, poetry and his Shamanic Spiritual path.  In 1969 I met John and Robbie at a Meditation retreat in Squaw Valley (Lake Tahoe.   I play drums and percussion; and about 100 people jammed and danced at nights after our evening meetings.  John, Robbie and myself led the drumming for the dancers.  It was wild fun!  I had a most memorable time.
